Strength Within includes a specialized branch that focuses on preparing athletes for the mental and emotional pressures of competition.  This includes being on the same team with all of yourself.  While most athletes are highly confident, there are also parts that are critical, are fearful, doubtful, and inconsistent.

I provide the following tools for athletes:

  • Understanding the “flow state”.  Unifying mind, body, and breath to enter and remain in a state of deep coordination.  
  • Visualization with nervous system regulation.   Playing the sport in your mind while maintaining a low stress level and heart rate.  Managing situations of pressure and failure ahead of time to best prepare your mind and body for the real thing.  
  • Relaxation Techniques for pre-game nerves and tournament play breaks in competition.  
  • Overcoming the mental obstacles of injuries and the lengthy physical rehabilitation process.
  • Inducing states of confidence
  • Clarifying and shaping motivation as a tool for enhanced success.
  • Increasing Endurance and reducing fatigue by shifting your perception of effort.
Realizing and overcoming the obstacles in your mind is much harder than figuring out what to eat, how to train, and what equipment to use.
