About Me
I have always been fascinated by the human psyche and why we relate to the world around us in the ways that we do. My sincere heart for others was evident from a very young age. As a child, I also discovered a tremendous love for sports and a strong competitive spirit.
Struggles overcoming the demands of athletic competition inspired my pursuit of mastery of the mind, body, and emotions. Relationships of all kinds have shaped who I am, while romantic heartbreak has driven my commitment to self reflection and personal growth.
My love for others and sports merged during the 15 years that I spent coaching high school wrestling and baseball starting in 2008. In 2019, I had the opportunity to immerse myself in the teachings of an Indian yoga master. The meditation techniques taught to me continue to bring focus and clarity into my daily life.
My personal outlook includes focusing on the things that I can control, living by high code of ethics, and placing immense value on self discipline. I have cultivated emotional intelligence through coursework, book studies, interpersonal workshops, and lots of relational practice. I believe that there is tremendous power in cultivating the self control to react and respond to the world in a way that represents who we truly want to be.
I am passionate about empowering others to be the the best version of themselves.
My favorite activities include playing ice hockey, swimming, songwriting, exploring the mountains, dancing, reading, caring for animals, and working with others toward a common purpose.
